Al Kadar Riding Holidays

Al Kadar offers the best in horses for your riding holiday.

Advanced riders will have the opportunity to ride pure bred Spanish stallions. Other riders will have a choice of other beautiful, kind yet forward moving horses.

We have many types of different tack all in excellent condition – generally our riders prefer English style saddles but for the adventurous why not try our very comfortable vaquera saddles – the choice is yours!

A weeks holiday generally comprises of 10 hours riding which most people find sufficient as it gives time to explore the beautiful old town of Marbella just 15 minutes drive away, or have a drink in Puerto Banus and watch the sun set over the exquisite yachts moored there.

Estepona our local town has some very good fish restaurants and the mountain villages of Casares and Ronda are not to be missed.

Of course if you would like more riding time this can be arranged also and we like to try to fit the excursions to suit your holiday for example one day we will ride three hours stopping for a meal at the local “Venta” restaurant. Another day may just be an hour or two riding on the gorgeous beach with unique views of the Rock of Gibraltar and the mountains of Africa in the distance.

We try to make every day different and interesting.

Riders can either stay in out little house “Caseta AL Kadar” (see door 6) or hotels nearby can be arranged.

We are also putting a “Calendar of Events” together to inform people wishing to link their holiday with a special concert – we have many well known music bands that play in the local bullrings or surrounds or come and enjoy in Andalucían Flamenco Festivals and hear some real foot stomping hand clapping gypsy music – They've got soul!

For the romantics we also have full moon rides on the beach - as the finca is so close we can arrive at the beach without touching the road. It's an ethereal sight to see the shadow of you and your horse that the moon light throws on the ground. Come and have a meal in the finca afterwards and enjoy our tropical paradise!
